Project 1 Collaborative Project
|
Project Description:
This project was a collaborative project in which we used the ADDIE model to develop an instructional design. Our main goal was using podcasting in education. Students are bringing iPods, mp3 players and hand held video games to school. Why not use these gadgets for an educational purpose? The students can listen to teacher lectures, missed assignments and school news through podcasts by downloading the feeds to their iPods or mp3 players. The students can also use the iPods and mp3 players for school projects such as creating a podcast for School News. There are tutorials on how to create a podcast and how to use it with content.

Project 2 Smart Board Activities |
Project Description:
This instructional unit focuses on helping Teachers at J.S. Adame create a Smart Board activity using the templates provided by the Smart Board software. Many teachers at the campus are not utilizing the Smart Board for its intended purpose. The teachers use the Smart Board for a screen to project what they are writing using the Elmo. By creating this instructional unit, the teachers will have access to a resource that will show them how to use a template in the Smart Board software. The instructional unit will be available to them on the school website and the campus intranet.

Project 3 Interactive Multimedia Learning Object |
Project Description:
This project is a continuation of my instructional unit that was developed in 6321. In this project I created an interactive multimedia learning object using Camtasia software. The interactive multimedia learning object I developed shows teachers at J.S. Adame Elementary how to create a quiz or mini quiz using the smart board templates available to them. Teachers at our campus tend to use the Smart Board only for a device to view what they are projecting and not utilizing it for its intended purposes. Once they learn how to create a quiz then they will be able to use it for any content area.

Project 4 E-Learning Module: eChalk Module |
Project Description:
In this project I had to develop an e-learning instructional module using an open source courseware management system, otherwise known as Moodle. My e-learning module consists of 4 lessons, and each lesson has an overview, assignment, discussion activity, quiz and multimedia presentation. The e-learning module I developed provided teachers with a guide on how to use the eChalk webpage the school district had purchased. The e-learning module showed teachers how to set up their accounts, add important information, resources, and important dates to the classroom calendar

Project Description:
The Capstone Project is a culmination of the skills and knowledge we have gained from our course work in the Educational Technology program. In this capstone project I proposed a need in a real-world context and devise a solution. The deliverables for the capstone project were an instructional design plan and an instructional solution. I adopted the Dick and Carey model for my instructional design. The instructional solution was in the form of an interactive training video. The instructional goal for this project was: Using the Eduphoria web based software, Teachers will create a new lesson planner with lesson plans for subjects they teach, access student data, submit a work order to be completed in the classroom and sign up for professional development.
